The future begins thanks to the creative idea and strong will of Mr. Antonio Santori (1922-2006). The very first plates "Speco" with a high-gloss surface were produced in Sesa. This surface actually named Mirror 8 is still alive and unmatched by competitors worldwide.

Introduction of Non-directional Matt finish. Earlier a matt finish simply corresponded to a grinded one.

Always beyond the customer's needs, the company installs the Chemical Engraving Plant. From that moment starts the creation of different finishes carefully recorded in our archives. More than 3000 patterns are available.

Paying great attention to market requirements, Sesa installs the Chroming plant granting an higher resistance of plate surface to wear and scratches.

E.i.R. Embossed in Register (TM) technology is developed for the flooring application and January 1999 the first laminated board is produced with this technique and presented at Surfaces '99 in cooperation with Uniboard Canada.

Joint Venture between SESA and MSF JV is established for the refurbishment of smooth Mirror and Matt moulds for the Indian market.

Creation of Graphic Department and powering it up with specialized designers work every day to create new finishes to be transferred onto a board surface.

The E.i.R technology is applied for the very first time to the melamine faced chipboard. The M.E.i.R (Melamine Embossed in Register) technology is presented during a dedicated event in Milan, May 2004. Three masterpieces of furniture were produced for that occasion in cooperation with Jai – Spain.

Sesa continues its technological upgrade and switched the entire chemical etching process to "full digital" technology. Still another worldwide record for SESA.

SESA MSF launches the production of rough Matt finishes – an immediate success in the Indian market.

Completion of the renovation of the processing machinery and expansion of area site.

SESA acquires the majority of the Indian JV and creates SESA INDIA.
